Michael LaNoue is unswervingly devoted to walking you through account setup processes. In both his brief double-spaced 29-page eBook offering, "How A Complete Internet Novice Can Pull In A Nice Income" and the accompanying web tutorial, many many pages are devoted to tutorials on ClickBank and Google AdWords account setup.
Upon purchase, you're directed to a page containing a handful of hyperlinked steps you're supposed to take instantly. These links hook you up as an affiliate to a few programs with which LaNoue is affiliated. Opt-in e-mail ads, newspaper ads, and "Your Very Own Viral Web Page," which plugs you into the downline of a plug-in, mini-mall, get-paid-for-surveys site (sort of a CB Mall Lite) — something you can do for yourself through ClickBank anyway.
The package is largely devoted to running Pay-Per-Click ads with Google AdWords and Google AdSense, without painting a comprehensive picture of either. There are a few small nuggets of helpful advice. There's a good (and free) source for obtaining the maximum and average Cost-Per-Click for the top-paying Google AdSense keywords. And the bonus "How To Win The Adwords Game" — a distributable, freebie eBook — contains some good copywriting tips and keyword bidding walk-throughs. This eBook often takes its time getting to the point, making it a little difficult to hang in there at times…page after page of one-sentence paragraphs, for example, which are often rhetorical questions.
LaNoue's eBook begins with this promise:
"I'm about to introduce you to the easiest way to pull in REAL PROFITS, almost instantly! You can turn 15 minutes of your time into never ending profits, which keep flowing in each and every week."
Such promises are the bane of affiliate marketing. The fact that he uses the phrase "never ending profits," as opposed to "get rich quick" doesn't really matter. The intent is the same. There are no fifteen minute miracles in affiliate marketing. It seems possible that Michael LaNoue is just a guy who got swept up in his own copywriting exuberance, as opposed to a guy who intends to deceive.
Still, at $49.95, we can't recommend Affiliate Cash Vault. It purports to be a total solution, but there are more comprehensive affiliate programs available — programs that devote more effort to sharing the wisdom of experience and less to tutorials on completing account setup forms. Affiliate Cash Vault essentially step-by-steps you to death on the simplest aspects of building an affiliate marketing business, yet doesn't scratch the surface of what it takes to build a successful affiliate marketing business.
